The origami master has arrived! Itoko Kobayashi will
be at TCL to share her techniques and teach us how
to make such fun projects as cups and boxes to
jumping frogs and pinwheels. We'll even make some
valentine-worthy hearts! Origami is a great mess-free
craft for kids to continue with at home -- a perfect
antidote to gray winter afternoons.

Soy Container Candles (Adults)

Bring a fun container (teacup, jelly jar, etc.) or use
one of ours to make your very own candles. We'll
show you how to melt the wax, add luscious colors
and scents, and set the wick in place. The finished
candles make great gifts, but you'll probably want
to keep one for yourself!

Crochet Charm Necklaces (Kids)

Charm jewelry is one of those great trends that translates
perfectly for kids. We'll be making necklaces using a
crochet technique that even kids who've never picked
up a hook before will be able to master within minutes.

Knitting Cables for the First Time (Adults)

This class is for the cable-fearing and those looking for
a refresher. We will learn a simple 2-stitch cable, a more
involved 6-stitch cable, plus how to read cable patterns
and how to make a reversible cable for a scarf. Bring worsted
weight yarn and size 8 needles with you to class. Cable
needles will be available to try and purchase at the class.
If you have a cable pattern you would like to begin, bring
that with you too.

Fair Isle Knitted Hat (Adults)

Fair Isle, the color knitting technique where you work
two different colors on the same row, is a very fun
knitting skill to learn. In this class, we will make a Fair
Isle hat using either a snowflake, skull, or heart motif.
While working Fair Isle in the round, you will learn to
knit with your "other" hand. There is a materials list and
homework for this class.
